showcase, you'll get to see quarterback Jalen

Rayner, the Arkansas State transfer, in a cyclone uniform for the first time. However, this isn't

the first time you'll see Jalen Rayner, as Iowa State played him at Jack Trey Stadium two years ago,

and then down in Jonesboro this past season. At the spring showcase, we'll also see his

quarterback's coach, Keith Heckendorf, who at the time you probably didn't know it, but he was

Rainer's offensive coordinator at Arkansas State. He recruited Rayner all the way back when he was

in high school and saw him grow from a freshman at Arkansas State to where he is now at Iowa

State. It's safe to say that nobody knows Rainer better than

Heckendorf. And Heckendorf was asked by Ben Hutchins of the beat reporters in the Quad City Times.
