Hey everybody, it's me Dave, one half of Dadville.

Now, I've been a singer-songwriter for the last 20 years or so,

but about 10 years ago, my dear friend and manager at the time

pushing me to try to start doing some stand-up shows.

If you've been to any of my live music shows, you know,

I'm chatty and love to tell stories and jokes, so it made sense.

So, I was just dumb enough to try it.

Since then, I've done about 30 or so stand-up shows.

And that means no guitar, just me and the mic and my funnies.

About four years ago, I did a stand-up show here in Nashville,

at City Winery, and we recorded the show,

and that show is now an album called It's Hard Being an Idiot,

and is available on Spotify, Apple Music,

and everywhere you listen to music and comedy.

To celebrate the release of the album, I thought it would be fun

to do some interviews with some of my favorite stand-up comedians

to talk about not just being funny, but being professionally funny.
