Dad, thanks for joining me today.

Last week we talked about praying for our kiddos as they head back to school. I think today we're going to be doing part two of this back to school idea. But do you have a dad joke for us to start off? I do. I have some school ones. What kind of school did the ice cream man go to? You went to Sunday school. Oh, that makes sense. Good, good. And where do giants go to school? They go to high school.

That's true, too. There you go. Last week, Matthew, we shared about how we can pray for our students and

staff heading back to school. I shared three last week. Pray for your students have confidence and good

self-esteem. Pray for homeschoolers and homeschool moms and start

the new semester with renewed strength. And pray for your children to find good friends and be

kind to everyone. Three more ways to pray for our students and children and teens and adults. Pray one,

pray for the teachers to have wisdom and endurance for the coming year,

and teachers to be reminded how impactful you can be to your students. It's not an easy calling,

but a rewarding one. I don't know if you remember Matthew, for years at our church back in

Downers Grove. We had a Sunday called Educators Day Sunday.

And we encouraged all of you in the kids, and even when you were a kid and a teenager,

to invite your teachers and principals and coaches to come on that Sunday.

And we honored them because we know it's so hard.

And it also helped your grades.

I mean, we gotani points when those teachers

came and gave them gifts. So we were at our favorite chicken place and one of the servers

named Wilson. He has special needs but he is incredible and he had graduated high school in 2017 and we started to talk about

school and kids going back to school and everything and he said you know what my favorite teacher

...
