Welcome back, everybody, to the Football Guys Daily Update. You give us 10 minutes. We'll give you

0:04.3

everything you need to know to make you the most informed fantasy football player in your league.

0:08.2

I'm Mike Dempsey, along with Football Guys' own Bob Harris. Well, Bob, the Giants have moved on for

0:14.5

Brian Gable. He was ousted and Mike Kafka, the offensive coordinator, becomes the interim now for

0:20.3

the G-Men going forward the rest of the season.

0:23.0

I don't know this is Kafka's offense anyway to a large degree, but do you think we see any adjustments to what the Giants have been doing offensively?

0:31.1

Well, first of all, they'll try not to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory as much, but it's fair to wonder if we'll see as many designed runs for Jackson Dart. I mean, he's going to run, but by what account is 25 designed runs this season were more than any of their quarterback in the league, even though he didn't get his first start until week four. Kafka was a quarterback. He might be a little more productive of the position. Beyond that, it's going to be hard to make wholesale changes in these cases. The Giants lost one of their best receivers in the league of Malik neighbors. They lost rookie running back Cam Scadaboo, who is making a huge impact. So they still have some solid players and it's possible. Kafka has some different ideas, but implementing and executing them at this point with the personnel on hand is going to be a challenge. And they lost Jackson Dart this weekend during the game to a concussion. And that usually means a weak sideline for a quarterback. So we'll just have to wait and see if Dark can progress through the protocol this week. Yeah. As a general rule, you know, that's true. We haven't had any reports that he's at or not at the team facilities. That can be an early tell in these cases. But we're watching in practice to start tomorrow and the team begins on field prep to take on the Packers. And if he doesn't go early and if there's a reason available, I know there's a push in the media, local and national to see what James Winston can do. Because I guess we all know what Russell Wilson has done. So we'll see what happens with that as well. All right. The team that shares a stadium with them at

MetLife, the Jets will be with that. Garrett Wilson reportedly for three to four weeks with a knee

spraying. That's a tough one for Wilson, Bob. Now you're really scraping the bottom of the barrel here.

1:59.0

But if you need to play a Jets pass catcher, I mean, who would top the list of interest for you? So we got Arian Smith, Tyler Johnson, Isaiah Williams, and John Mechie, the third was active in this last game. And we had Adnigh Mitchell and Alan Lazzard were healthy scratches. I'm guessing Mitchell, you know, who was acquired in a trade for sauce gardener should be ready to go this week. He had only been there three days last time. But I would hate to rely on any of them for now in an emergency. I'd probably go to Tyler Johnson. He showed me the most so far. And I do it with very little confidence. All right. And the Jets this week, you would presume would play Justin Fields because it's a short week, Thursday night football. He hasn't performed well at all statistically, but they've won a couple of games. But I feel like this sets up perfectly lose to the Patriots. And okay, we've got a little extra time to prepare Tyrod Taylor for week 12 potentially here, Bob, beat the Patriots, and you've earned at least

2:52.6

another week as a starter. Right. They're not changing this week, Phil. You know, he's got two wins, a pair of victories in the last two games when he ended up started. It hasn't been great, though, as you mentioned, he was six of 11 for 54 yards and Sundays went over the Browns. 42 of those yards came on a single play, right?

3:08.2

A dump off to Breece Hall that Hall broke for a touchdown. yards and Sundays went over the Browns. 42 of those yards came on a single play, right?

3:08.1

A dump off to Breece Hall that Hall broke for a touchdown.

3:11.8

And the Jets scored a pair of touchdowns on special teams.

3:14.1

So Aaron Glenn said that limited both the offensive plays and the passing opportunities.

3:18.6

Woody Johnson might argue that's a good thing.

3:22.0

Yeah, Justin Fields may have limited those passing opportunities,

3:24.7

at least the catching opportunities as well. The 49ers, Brock Purdy, close to returning.

3:30.1

Kyle Shanahan said, you know what? He could have gone definitely this week, almost like they

3:34.7

wanted to see. All right, here's one more look at Mack Jones. And also, do we want to bring

3:39.0

Purdy back against that Rams pass rush? So it sounds like

3:42.7

Purdy could be back and starting in week 11, Bob, with this change the outlook for any of the
