Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible.

I am Brian.

It is great to be here with you today

as we gather in this safe place around the global

campfire to take the next step forward on our grand adventure, this voyage through the Bible, through this year together.

So I'm here with a heart of gratitude as I feel pretty much every single day that this exists.

That I need this so bad.

That we all need this so bad and that we can do this together and that there is this place

for us to take the next step forward and allow the scriptures to keep coming for us to keep challenging us to keep

opening our eyes and ears so that we can be transformed so we don't have to live under a veil, so we have to be in confusion, so that we can know the way to go.

I'm grateful.

And so, let's dive in and take the next step.

We're working through the book of Isaiah at this point in the Old Testament.

Today we'll read Isaiah chapter 45 verse 11 all the way through the Lord, the Holy One of Israel and its maker.

Will you question me about my children or command me concerning the work of my hands?

I made the earth and created humankind upon it.

It was my hands that stretched out the heavens and I commanded all their host.

I have aroused Cyrus in righteousness and I will make all his paths straight.

He shall build my city and set my exiles free, not for price or reward, says the Lord of hosts.

Thus says the Lord.
