Today is the 10th day of September. Welcome to the Daily Audio Vival.

I am frying. It is wonderful to be here with you today. It's always special when we

greet a brand new shiny sparkly week. And here we are greeting it. Here we are opening

the threshold and stepping into it together. And I'd like to imagine anyway, so here we

are standing through the threshold looking at this beautiful vista. It is beautiful

out there. That's the week in front of us. And we get to walk into it and enjoy its beauty.

Or we can walk into it and set it all on fire. We get to choose. And we will choose with

the thoughts and words and deeds of this week. And so since we're standing out here looking

at this beautiful opportunity of a week in front of us, let's choose wisely. Let's live

it well. And one of the ways that we live it well, as we come back together each day around

the global campfire, we come together in community in a safe space and take another step forward

and allow God to speak to us through the scriptures.

So brand new week. We'll read from the new international version this week. We're a couple

days into the new territory that we've embarked upon, the prophet Isaiah. And so we're far enough

into notice that this isn't like a narrative. We're not reading a story. We're reading a book

that has some narrative in it, some stories in it, but a lot of oracles, a lot of words

that came from the Lord to Isaiah that he was to speak out. And he was speaking on behalf

of the Lord as a prophet to the nation of Israel for a long time through many different

reigns of different kings. And these are the collection of the oracles or the utterances

of Isaiah. Many biblical scholars believe there's more than one voice contained in the

book of Isaiah that these are indeed prophetic utterances, but not just from one person named

Isaiah, but there may be a second Isaiah and a third Isaiah like different voices. Definitely
