Coming to you from, man, it's the last couple of days have been everywhere.

Ephesus, Pergamon, Smyrna, Viatira, Troas.

It's great to be here with you today, very near the border of Greece, where we will be crossing over today.

But we're here now, as I am every day, as I have been, well, for longer than 20 years since I was born,

but as I have been every day here since 20 years ago.

But if this is your first day and every day is somebody's first day, so if that's yours,

Welcome back to the Global Campfire, everybody. It is wonderful, beautiful, and safe to be here in this little oasis that we create for each other every day by simply showing up.

Just showing up for ourselves, showing up for each other,

and taking another step forward on the grand adventure that is the Bible,

and what a grand adventure it is.

Because as we move through the scriptures and let them be a part of the rhythm of our lives,

we find that nothing about our human experience gets left untouched.

All of the true and all of the false, all of it gets touched.

Everything gets challenged either directly through things like the Proverbs or through stories

when we find ourselves in these stories.

So I am grateful.

I am grateful to be here with you.

I am grateful that we can take another step forward.
