It is really, really wonderful to be here with you today, as it always is.

I'm grateful that we can gather yet again for another step forward together in our lives.

And in our grand adventure and journey through the scriptures, we got a lot of ground to cover

today. So we're working through the book of Jeremiah. We're going to get to one of the most

famous verses, most often quoted, most often recited verses in the book of Jeremiah. We're going to get to one of the most famous verses, most often quoted, most often

recited verses in the Bible today from the book of Jeremiah.

And then we will be moving into a brand new letter from the Apostle Paul and to a different

kind of grouping of letters called the pastoral epistles or the pastoral letters.

So these are personal letters.

We'll talk about that when we get there.

First, Jeremiah, chapter 28 and 29.

One day, in late summer of that same year, the fourth year of the reign of Zedekiah, King of Judah.

Hananiah, son of Azur, a prophet from Gibyan, addressed me publicly in the temple,

while all the priests and people listened.
