| 0:00.0 | Today is the 15th day of November. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I am Brian. It's great to be here with you today. |
| 0:13.0 | I guess this is the dead center day of the month of November. So here we are in the middle again. And continuing to take our steps forward. |
| 0:25.0 | So we are reading from the new international version this week. And our next step forward leads us back into the book of Ezekiel in the Old Testament. |
| 0:38.0 | Today, Ezekiel chapters 31 and 32. |
| 0:44.0 | In the 11th year, in the third month on the first day, the word of the Lord came to me. |
| 0:59.0 | Son of man, say to Pharaoh, King of Egypt, and to his hordes, who can be compared with you in majesty. |
| 1:10.0 | Consider Assyria, once a cedar in Lebanon, with beautiful branches overshadowing the forest. It towered on high. It's top above the thick foliage. |
| 1:23.0 | The waters nourished it. Deep springs made it grow tall. Their streams flowed all around its base and sent their channels to all the trees of the field. |
| 1:34.0 | So it towered higher than all the trees of the field. Its bows increased, and its branches grew long, spreading because of abundant waters. |
| 1:46.0 | All the birds of the sky nested in its bows. All the animals of the wild gave birth under its branches. All the great nations lived in its shade. |
| 1:58.0 | It was majestic in beauty, with its spreading bows. For its roots went down to abundant waters. |
| 2:07.0 | The cedars in the Garden of God could not rival it, nor could the junipers equal its bows. |
| 2:13.0 | Nor could the plain trees compare with its branches. No tree in the Garden of God could match its beauty. |
| 2:22.0 | I made it beautiful, with abundant branches. The envy of all the trees of Eden in the Garden of God. |
| 2:31.0 | Therefore this is what the sovereign Lord says. |
| 2:35.0 | Because the great cedar towered over the thick foliage and because it was proud of its height, I gave it into the hands of the ruler of the nations, for him to deal with according to its wickedness. |
| 2:50.0 | I cast a decide, and the most ruthless of four nations cut it down and left it. |
| 2:56.0 | Its bows fell on the mountains and in all the valleys. Its branches lay broken in all the ravines of the land. |
| 3:05.0 | All the nations of the earth came out from under its shade and left it. |
| 3:10.0 | All the birds settled on the fallen tree, and all the wild animals lived among its branches. |
| 3:19.0 | Therefore, no other trees by the water are ever to tower proudly on high, lifting their tops above the thick foliage. |
| 3:29.0 | No other trees so well-watered are ever to reach such a height. They are all destined for death. |
