You're in the green, lush, rolling hills of Tennessee.

I'm glad to be with you wherever you may be.

Because wherever we are geographically,

we are around the global campfire together

to take the next step forward.

And that is always a peaceful and safe place to be.

Just imagining the crackling of this fire

and the warmth of the glow

are our faces

in the openness in our hearts to receive the scriptures.

However they come, whatever they bring up.

Glad that we can be this.

Glad that we can do this.

And glad to take the journey another step forward today, which leads us back into

1st Samuel, high drama, major transition in the children

of Israel's existence, high drama in specific between King Saul and this emerging figure

that's come on the scene named David,

who will also become king, but not there yet.
