Today is the 17th day of May. Welcome. Welcome back. Welcome to the global campfire. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. Welcome to a brand new shiny, sparkly week. So here we are. We do this at the beginning of every week.

Just kind of gather up, orient ourselves.

Just take a deep breath, like time flies.

And usually it's ruling us and not the other way around.

And so we take this moment and just be here present,

a brand new week in front of us. And plenty of things are going to get carried over. That's life.

But none of it's actually happened yet. That's all out in front. The week is new. And we can,

well, we can make of it what we choose. Actually, we will make of it what we choose.

So, by trying to be aware of ourselves and the impact and the weight of our own lives on this world and on others,

instead of just everything, like we're the victim of everything and everything's happening to us,

by trying to be present to ourselves and observant to the fact

that we do damage and we need to learn to repair it.

That is our word for the year.

We have to see it and acknowledge it. We have to watch ourselves. So the week is out in

front of us, our thoughts. That's where it's all going to start. Our words is where we will

speak it into existence because we are created in the image of our creator, God.

And then our choices and our actions will make it so.

May we choose wisely this week, the safe path, the narrow path, the healing path, the path of repair.

So, anyway, great to be here with you at the beginning of a brand new shiny, sparkly

week. Now, shiny and sparkly as it is, we will be picking up exactly where we left off. That's how

it works. However, it's a new week. We'll read from the new international version this week.
