Today is the 31st day of March. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I am Brian, it is wonderful to be here with you today.

As we approach the end of the third month of the year and so when we get through today we will have completed the first quarter of the year.

I am struggling to believe where the time has gone but that is where we are. 25% through the year and through the Bible.

And so certainly certainly well done. Well done. We have made it this far and it is a rhythm now and we can make it and we can help each other make it.

Not just through the Bible but through this year. And so it is wonderful to be around the global count fire together with you today.

As we step forward together and our next step forward leads us back into the book of Deuteronomy and today we will read chapters 16 and 17.

12. Observe the month of a beabe and keep the Passover for the Lord your God because it was in the month of a beabe that the Lord your God brought you out of Egypt at night.

As a Passover sacrifice to the Lord your God slaughter an animal from the flock or herd at the place where the Lord will choose to establish his name.

Do not eat leavened bread with it. For seven days eat unleavened bread, the bread of affliction because you win out of the land of Egypt in a hurry.

Do this so that you may remember the day that you win out from the land of Egypt for all the days of your life.

Rather, it is at the place where the Lord your God will choose to establish his name that you are to sacrifice the Passover in the evening at the setting of the sun, the time of day that you win out of Egypt.

Cook it and eat it at the place that the Lord your God will choose in the morning return to your tents.

Six days you are to eat unleavened bread and on the seventh day there is to be a special convocation to the Lord your God.

Do not do any regular work.

Count off seven weeks as the starting point of the seven weeks marked the time that the sickle first strikes the standing grain.

Then observe the festival of weeks for the Lord your God and give a voluntary offering of as much as you can afford and keeping with how much the Lord has blessed you.

Rejoice before the Lord your God, you and your son and your daughter, your male servant and your female servant, the Levite who is within the gates of your city and the alien and the fatherless and the widow who are among you.

Do this in the place where the Lord your God will choose to establish his name.

Remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt so you are to be careful to carry out these statutes.

After you have gathered in the produce from your threshing floor and your wine press, celebrate the festival of shelters for seven days.
