I'm Brian. It is a delight.

It's a privilege. It's an honor. It's a joy.

It's a comfort to be here with you here around the global campfire today as we gather in again and I just come around

its warmth and exhale all of the cares of this life this is a safe place just going to read the

Bible and kind of let it hit us however it does.

So I'm grateful.

And we have this place.

I'm grateful that we can take another step forward.

So we began the week yesterday and we transitioned out of the book of numbers and into the book of Deuteronomy.

And so that's where we are now and that is the final, the final book of the Torah.

So it's the fifth book of the Old Testament.

And we talked about it.

Deuteronomy will be reviewing a lot of things and a lot of the stories that we've

encountered.

But this is coming from a very specific place.

The children of Israel are now in their second generation.

They are about to cross the Jordan River into the Promised Land finally.

We've been waiting for this for a long time and we've been in the wilderness a long time, but that parallels our own lives.

We've wandered in the wilderness for so long.

And there's no way out without trust.
