Today is the 10th day of March. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I'm Brian. It is wonderful to be here

with you as we greet a brand new shiny sparkly week and remind ourselves of the fresh start.

It's out in front of us. Let's live well. And let's live well by picking up where we left

off yesterday and letting the scriptures speak into our lives.

This week will read from the new revised standard version, the updated edition.

And we'll pick up where we left off. The children of Israel have, like it's time.

They're moving toward the land of promise, and they have selected some

spies, a representative from each tribe to move into the promise land and just look it over and come back and report what it's like.

And they have done that and they have come back and essentially said, it's awesome'll never will never be able to live there.

The people are too powerful.

And so we pick up that story.

Numbers 14 verse 1 through 15 verse 16 today.

Then all the congregation raised a loud cry and the people wept that night.

And all the Israelites complained against Moses and Aaron.

The whole congregation said to them,

Would that we had died in the land of Egypt,

or would that we had died in this wilderness?

Why is the Lord bringing us into this land to fall by the sword.

Our wives and our little ones will become plunder.

Would it not be better for us to go back to Egypt?

So they said to one another, let us choose a captain and go back to Egypt.

And Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the Israelites.
