Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible.

I'm Brian. It's great to be here with you around the global campfire together again, day by day.

I'm so glad that we're showing up.

Because we're showing up for ourselves, but we're showing up. Because we're showing up for ourselves,

but we're showing up for each other.

And that is the beauty of community, the beauty of the community that we have here.

I'm glad that we can be in this safe space, this oasis that we come into and that kind of everything else goes

so that we can tune in to our hearts and open them to what might come our way in the scriptures.

So let's do that.

Let's take this next step forward.

We're in the book of Numbers.

So the children of Israel are beginning to organize.

They're beginning to put into effect the things that they have been instructed.

Let's continue that journey.

Numbers chapter 10, verse 1 through 11, verse 23 today.

The Lord, said to Moses, make two trumpets out of hammered silver.

Use them to call the community together as a signal to break camp.

When you blow both trumpets, the whole community will meet with you at the entrance to the tent of meeting.

If only one trumpet blows, the leaders, the heads of the divisions of Israel, will meet

with you.

When they hear the trumpet fanfare, the tribes that are camped on the east side will break
