Today is the 31st day of July. Wow. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I am Brian. It is great to be here with you today. As we bring to a close the seventh month of the year, that is incredible.

It is the 212 day of the year, which means 212 times we have gathered together this year so far

and taken a step forward, moving forward as we navigate through the scriptures and I am grateful for

these two hundred and twelve days they go by I can't believe it but here we are

well underway in our journey.

But so much shed in front of us.

I'm grateful to be here with you today around the global campfire.

And I'm grateful that we can take another step forward.

And so let's do that.

We're working our way, as we know, through the Book of Second Chronicles.

Today, chapter 29.

Hezekiah was 25 years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem 29 years.

His mother's name was Abijah, daughter of Zechariah.

He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, just as his father David had done.

In the first month of the first year of his reign, he opened the doors of the temple of the

Lord and repaired them.

He brought in the priests and the Levites, assembled them in the square on the east side and

said, listen to me, Levites.

Consecrate yourselves now, and consecrate the temple of the Lord, the God of your ancestors.

Remove all defilement from the sanctuary.

Our parents were unfaithful.

They did evil in the eyes of the Lord our God and forsook Him.
