Today is the 17th day of July. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I'm Brian. It is awesome to be here with you. I'm grateful to be here with you today. And I'm thrilled to be standing here and taking another step forward in my

own life on my own journey but together we're all taking a step forward in our own lives

and our own contexts and our own stories on our own journeys.

And I'm grateful that we can be on this journey together,

allowing the scriptures to speak into our stories.

So, man, we're working through Romans right now,

and that is, like, you just really got to pay attention.

But it is so rich in what it's saying.

We're also working through the book of First Chronicles right now.

So let us let's, let's jump in.

First Chronicles, chapter's, let's jump in.

First Chronicles, chapter 24, verse 1 through 26, verse 11.

The divisions of the descendants of Aaron were these. The sons of Aaron, Nadab, Abiyah, Eliezer, and Itemar.

But Nadab and Abihu died before their father and had no sons, so Eliezer and Ithamar became the priests.

Along with Zadok of the sons of Eliezer and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, David organized them

according to the appointed duties in their service. Since more chief men were found among the sons of Eliezer than among the sons of Ithamar,

they organized them by lots, all alike, for there were officers of the sanctuary

and officers of God among both the sons of Eliezer and the sons of Itamar.

This scribe Shemaiah, son of Netanel, a Levite recorded them in the presence of the king,

and the officers and Zadok the priest, and the Himalek, son of Abiyathar, and the heads of ancestral houses of the

priests and of the Levites.

One ancestral house being chosen for Eliezer and one chosen for Itamar.
