Today is the ninth day of July. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible.

I am Brian, it is wonderful to be here with you today. It's lovely here in the

rolling hills of Tennessee, although a bit hot. And I trust that it is lovely

wherever you are. It's great to greet a brand new shiny,

sparkly week together, another one of the weeks that we get to begin together,

52 of them each year. And so here we are at the beginning of a new week. Let's

take the next step forward together. We will read from the Common English Bible

this week and going back out to where we left off will lead us back into the

Book of First Chronicles. We're moving through the genealogical portion of the

Book of First Chronicles, which encompasses, if I remember right, the first nine

chapters. So we're kind of getting near that ninth chapter and we'll move from

genealogies into some of the narrative. But today, first Chronicles, chapters

seven and eight.

Issaqar's family. Tolla, Buah, Jashoub and Shimran. Four in all. Tolla's family.

Uzzi, Rafaia, Jariah, Jamy, Ipsum and Shemuel. The heads of their households in

Tolla's line, mighty warriors of their generations. In David's time, they

numbered 22,600. Uzzi's family. Israha and Israha's family. Michael, Obadaya,

Joa, Inesia, Five in all and all of them leaders. According to the family

records of their households, they had 36,000 troops in the units of their

fighting force since they had many wives and children. Their relatives from

all of Issaqar's clans were 87,000 mighty warriors all listed in the family

records. Benjamin's family. Bella, Becker and Jadal, three in all.
