Today is the 8th day of July. Welcome to the daily audio Bible. I'm Brian. It's great to be here with you today.

It's great to be able to come together.

Gather, get our week going, but gather here around the global campfire.

As we come together again as a family moving forward together, taking the next step forward together in this

journey, the voyage of a lifetime through the Bible in a year.

So we have reached First Chronicles obviously and we've spent the last couple of days since we've come into First Chronicles in genealogies. This is kind of the famous part of the Bible where the genealogies are located.

And we're going to continue for the next couple of days to get through them.

They're basically the first nine chapters of First Chronicles.

And we're in Chapter 5 at this point.

So that's kind of where we are. This is the

retelling, the regrouping, everybody that we traveled with from the book of

Genesis all the way here.

Everything that was that people is blown apart.

They've been conquered by two different empires,

the Assyrian Empire and the Babylonian Empire

and so everyone is displaced and lost.

This is a regathering, a retelling, a reminder,

the hope to remember who they are and where they came from before they are

and assimilated into an empire.

And so with that we continue our journey.
