Today is the 21st day of January. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible.

I'm Brian, it is great to be here with you today as we swing open the threshold and step into this brand new shiny

sparkly week together. Brand new. I said it last week. We'll say it next week.

We'll say it most every week. say almost every week it's a good

reminder as we begin a new week that it's fresh it's not there in front of us we

haven't messed up anything yet we haven't made any missteps. We may be carrying all kinds of things into this new

week that we're dragging over from the last week, but this is a new start. This is, this hasn't been done yet, right?

It's in the future.

And so we get to make the decisions.

And let's allow the scriptures to inform those decisions as we move through the days of this week.

It's a brand new week we'll pick up obviously where we left off and that leads us back into the book of Genesis.

We will actually conclude the book of Genesis during this week and move forward during the week.

But we'll read from the Common English Bible this week.

I'm picking up where we left off yesterday

in the story of Joseph.

Genesis chapter 42,

18 through 43, verse 34.

On the third day, Joseph said to them, do this and you will live for I'm a God-fearing man.

If you are honest men, let one of your brothers stay in prison, and the rest of you go, take

grain back to those in your households who are hungry, but bring your youngest brother back to

me so that your words will prove true and you won't die.

So they prepared to do this.
