It is wonderful to be here with you today.

Today and every day. I say that a lot, but that's true.

Today and every day, this say that a lot, but that's true. Today and every day, this is our place,

and this is our time to allow the scriptures to speak into our lives and let all the other voices

go. So this is a safe place. This is my safe place. I hope it's your safe place. And I'm glad that we

have it together. So let's jump in. Let's allow the scriptures to be what they are in our

lives today. And continue this story. Pretty dramatic now jacob and his family moving back toward

their homeland toward esau his brother who is on his way with 400 men and we don't know how this

is going to play out jacob is a bit freaked out. Genesis chapter 32 verse 13 through 34 verse 31.

Jacob spent that night there. From what he had acquired, he set aside a gift for his brother

Esau. 200 female goats and 20 male goats, 200 ewes and 20 rams, 30 nursing camels with their

young, 40 cows and 10 bulls, and 20 female donkeys and 10 male donkeys.

He separated these herds and gave them to his servants.

He said to them,

Go ahead of me and put some distance between each of the herds.

He ordered the first group,

When my brother Esau meets you and asks you,

who are you with? Where are you going? And whose herds are these in front of you, say,

they are your servant Jacob's, a gift sent to my master Esau. And Jacob is actually right
