the global campfire. It's great to be here with you today coming from the Holy City of Jerusalem.

Yet again, I mean, this is kind of where things end.

We kind of camp out here and spoke out from here.

We spent the day in and around the old city.

Yesterday, we'll talk about that.

We're going to head into the lowlands for some of the day today, which we'll obviously talk about

tomorrow after it's happened, but it's great to be here in the present, in the now, taking the next

step forward on the grand adventure that is the Bible.

And so let's jump in today.

Leviticus chapter 9, verse 7 through 10, verse 20.

Then Moses said to Aaron,

Approach the altar and present your sin offering and your burnt offering.

Make atonement for yourself and for the people.

Then, present the offering for the people.

Make atonement for them, just as the Lord has commanded.

Aaron approached the altar and slaughtered the calf as a sin offering for himself.

Then Aaron's sons presented the blood to him.

After he had dipped his finger in the blood, he put it on the horns of the altar,

and he poured out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.

Then he turned the fat, the kidneys, and the protruding lobe of the liver from the sin offering

into smoke upon the altar, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.
