How are you today?

It is wonderful to be here with you as we bring to a close another one of

our weeks together around the global campfire. I'm excited to see where this next

step leads us. I know it's in the wilderness we're gonna be there for a

while the Bible spends a bit of time quite a bit of time in the wilderness

because so do we. And so let's pick up our story, Exodus

chapter 17 verse 8 through 19 verse 15 today.

Amalak came and attacked Israel and Refidim.

So Moses said to Joshua, choose some of our men and go out, fight against Amalak.

Tomorrow I will stand on top of the hill with the staff of God in my hand.

So Joshua fought against Amalak just as Moses had instructed him,

and Moses and Aaron and Herr went up to the top of the hill.

Whenever Moses would raise his hands,

then Israel prevailed, but whenever he would rest his hands,

then Amalak prevailed.

When the hands of Moses became heavy, they took a stone and put it under him, and Aaron and

her held up his hands, one on one side and one on another, and so his hands were steady until the sun went down.

So Joshua destroyed Amalak and his army with the sword.
