So, well, welcome to the post- Christmas festivities.

Here around the global campfire, it's always kind of the same.

It's a peaceful place. God's word is spoken here, straight from

the scriptures. No matter what's going on in our lives we can come in here and be

here together. There's no time that anybody's

listening alone and we have this place to re-enter ourselves in the word of God and be oriented to God through His word so that we know

how to live our lives. So let's take that next step, post- Christmas step. that leads us back into the book of

zecoriah today we'll read zecoriah chapter 9 a threatening oracle.

The word of the Lord against the land of Hadrak and against Damascus, its resting

place, because the eye of the Lord is on mankind and on all the tribes of Israel.

It is also against Tamoth which borders on Damascus and Tyre and Saigon though

they are very wise.

Tyre has built a stronghold for herself and is piled up silver like dust and gold like dirt

from the streets.

Look, the Lord will seize everything she possesses and throw her wealth into the sea, and she will

be consumed by fire. Ashkalon will see it and be afraid.

Gaza will writ in anguish, in Ekron too, because her hopes have been dashed.
