I'm Brian.

It is awesome to be here with you today.

I look out over the rolling hills of Tennessee.

And I imagine you looking out, wherever you are looking out, wherever that may be.

And here we are at the global campfire together, creating it together. Another step forward,

a brand new, shiny, sparkly week. About 10 days till Christmas Day.

That's where we are in the grand scheme of things in this year.

And that about says it all.

Today is the third Sunday in the season of Advent.

Advent is a season on the Christian calendar.

There are many, but probably the most famous ones are Lent and Advent.

So Advent leads up to Christmas.

And there are, like, you know, it's a famous tradition.

There are Advent calendars everywhere for everything know, it's a famous tradition. There are Advent calendars everywhere for everything.

But it's a Christian tradition to posture our hearts in the correct posture as we long for Christmas to come.

Because Advent means arrival, and that's what Christmas is, right?

The arrival of Emmanuel, God with us, the Savior, into the world.

And so, you know, before Jesus came, people were longing for the Savior to come into the world.

And even now, we are longing for the Savior's return.

And so we place ourselves in this posture moving toward Christmas, and it's called Advent.
