Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible.

I am Brian, it is great to be here with you today as we step through the threshold into

a brand new shiny, sparkly week.

It's all out in front of us like it always is, like it always has been.

It's a bit of a hectic time of years, so it's nice for us to know that there's a reset

here.

A brand new week, and this happens to be the third Sunday in the season of Advent.

Advent being a season on the Christian calendar.

It's not in the Bible, it's just a season on the Christian calendar, a season that is intended

to prepare our hearts and allow us to consider the arrival, which is what Advent means, the

arrival of the Savior into the world and what a monumental shift it was for his arrival.

Nothing has been the same since then.

So we certainly observe that and pay attention to that.

This is the week where the joy candle would be lit.

Like if you have an Advent calendar, not calendar, I said that last week.

Advent candle reads at your church and you're lighting the Advent calendar candles or if

you have an Advent candle reads at your house and you're lighting those, then this would

be the third one.

This week represents joy, joy to the world and we focus on the joy of the arrival of

the Savior as we contemplate this week.

So that's where we are in the year.
