0:00.0	Today is the third day of December. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I am Brian. It is
0:11.6	wonderful to be here with you today. As we continue our journey into the first end of the
0:19.1	week of the month of December. And we have been camped out in the book of Daniel for a minute
0:27.6	here and we will continue that journey in the Old Testament. And then we'll move into the new
0:34.9	Testament as is our custom around here and pick up where we left off in 1 John. So let's dive in,
0:44.3	Daniel, chapter 11, verse 2 through 35 today.
0:57.9	Now I am here to reveal to you the truth. Three more kings will rule in Persia. After them,
1:07.6	a fourth will arise will be much richer than all the others. He will use his wealth to build his
1:14.1	power and extend his influence. Then he will incite the nations to fight against the kingdom of
1:20.4	Greece. Meanwhile in Greece a warrior king will come to power. With great authority he will rule
1:29.6	his lands and do as he desires. But no sooner than he arises, his kingdom will be broken up and
1:38.4	divided to the four winds of heaven. None of his own offspring will receive any portion.
1:45.8	Nor will these kingdoms exercise the great authority he once did. For his empire will be ripped
1:52.8	from its foundation and given to others. The king of the south will then grow in power and prosper.
2:00.7	Yet in time one of his own officers will become more powerful than he and rule over an even greater
2:09.2	empire. Several years later the king of the north and the king of the south will form an alliance.
2:17.4	That alliance will be established by the marriage of the daughter of the king of the south
2:22.6	to the king of the north. However this union will not last. The princess will not hold on to power
2:32.0	and the king too will lose his throne. She will be given up along with her royal court,
2:38.6	her father and those who backed her. In response one of her relatives, a barrage from her roots will
2:47.4	rise to take his place and become king in the south. He will take up the sword and lead an army
2:53.8	into the fortress of the northern king. He will fight against them and in the end be victorious.
