Today is the second day of December. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I am Brian. It's great to be here

with you today. As we're kind of moving into this final month of the year. It's good to be around

the global campfire and cozy this time of year. Together. It's been quite a journey.

Starting to think about that.

It's been quite a journey.

We have quite a journey in front of us as we navigate through this final month of the year

and quite a lot of territory to cover in the scriptures before us, before we can end for the year.

And so, I'm glad we're here together.

I'm glad we've showed up today.

I'm glad we're able to take the next step forward.

And that will lead us back to where we left off. That is currently in the book of

Daniel. Today, Daniel chapter 9, verse 1, through 11 verse 1.

In the first year of Darius, the son of Eazurus, a mead by birth, who was made king over the Caldean kingdom,

in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, understood from the books according to the word of the Lord to the prophet Jeremiah,

that the number of years for the desolation of Jerusalem would be 70.

So I turned my attention to the Lord God to seek him by prayer and petitions

with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes.

I prayed to the Lord my God and confessed,

Ah, Lord, the great and awe-inspiring God, who keeps His gracious covenant with those who love him and keep his commands.

We have sinned, done wrong, acted wickedly, rebelled, and turned away from your commands and ordinances.

We have not listened to your servants the prophets who spoke in your name to our kings, leaders,

ancestors, and all the people of the land.
