Today is the 11th day of February. Welcome. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I'm Brian. Uh,

greetings from Ash Dodd on the Mediterranean coast in the land of Israel. And no matter where we actually are geographically, we are here together around the global

campfire. But we are here on the other side of the world from the rolling hills of Tennessee

at this point.

I just getting ready to go.

We have arrived.

We have had our first dinner together, all together here in Ashdod last night.

And so we are jet lagged, tired, disoriented, and so excited to launch in.

So we will be heading out for our first day of touring today.

Looking forward to being able to share all of those well everything

with you because we're in this together but today is our first day to light out and we'll be heading

into the wilderness which ironically is where we find ourselves in the scriptures.

At this point, we are with the children of Israel at Mount Sinai in the desert.

Moses is upon the top of the mountain receiving the laws, the codes, the expectations, the covenants, the rituals, the holidays,

the way that the society that is being formed will be, and how it will be organized.

So let's jump in for today, Exodus, chapters 32 and 33.

After the people saw that Moses had been on the mountain for a long time,

they went to Aaron and said,

Make us an image of a God who will lead us and protect us.

Moses brought us out of Egypt, but nobody knows what has happened to him.

Aaron told them,

Bring me the gold earrings that your wives and sons and daughters are wearing.
