I am Brian.

It is wonderful to be here with you today.

Man, in the kind of final quarter of the month of April, one week from today.

And we'll be graduating ourselves into a new month but that's like that's a whole week away grateful to be here with you

today as we gather once again around this global campfire and take the next step forward.

We have just launched ourselves into the book of judges.

We were kind of given the lay of the land.

The children of Israel have conquered the promised land.

Not completely, but they control it.

Their leader, Joshua, who brought them into the land,

who succeeded.

Moses has died.

An hour in a time, a period, where everybody's going to do what's right in their own eyes.

And their leaders will not be the same as Moses and Joshua, but their leaders will rise up to lead the people.

And the leaders will be known as Judges.

Today, Judges Chapter 2, verse 10, 2.3, verse 31.

After that generation died, another generation grew up who did not acknowledge the Lord or remember the mighty things he had done for Israel.

The Israelites did evil in the Lord's sight and served the images of Abel.

They abandoned the Lord, the God of their ancestors, who had brought them out of Egypt.

They went after other gods worshipping the gods of the people around them, and they angered the Lord.
