It is fantastic to have this chance to be together today.

As we continue the journey and bring another a week to its conclusion,

we're continuing our book,

our book, we continue our journey through the book of

Deuteronomy right now and we're kind of rounding the corner on this.

But again, this book, Deuteronomy, these are three final discourses or conveyances of information

that Moses wants to tell the children of Israel because he's leaving them and he'll be

leaving us too. He's going to die and become a part of history as we continue forward.

These are the things that he wants to say and these are the things that he is saying and

so today, Duteronomy chapter 29 and 30.

These are the terms of the promise that the Lord commanded Moses to give to the Israelites in Moab. This was in addition to the promise the Lord gave them at

Mount Horab. Moses summoned all the people of Israel and said to them,

You've seen with your own eyes everything that the Lord did in Egypt

to Pharaoh, to all his officials and to his whole country. You also saw those terrible

plagues, those miraculous signs and those spectacular amazing things, but to this day

the Lord hasn't given you a mind that understands, eyes that see or ears that hear.

For 40 years I led you through the deserts.

During that time your clothes and shoes never wore out.

You ate no bread and drank no wine or liquor. I did this so that you would know that I am the Lord your God.
