| 0:00.0 | Today is the fourth day of April. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I am Brian. It is great to be here with you today as we gather once again around the Global Campfire. |
| 0:15.0 | Join our hearts together and take the next step forward together. |
| 0:22.0 | And we are continuing our journey through the final book of the Torah, the book of Deuteronomy. |
| 0:30.0 | And today we will read Deuteronomy chapters 26 and 27. |
| 0:38.0 | Soon you will enter and take possession of the land that the Lord your God is giving you as your property. |
| 0:51.0 | When you have settled there, take some of the first produce harvested from the fields in the land that the Lord your God is giving you and put it in a basket. |
| 1:01.0 | And go to the place where the Lord your God will choose for his name to live. |
| 1:07.0 | Go to the priest who is serving at that time and tell him, I declare today to the Lord your God that I have come to the land that the Lord is giving us as he swore to our ancestors. |
| 1:19.0 | Then the priest will take the basket from you and set it down in front of the altar of the Lord your God. |
| 1:25.0 | You will make this formal statement in the presence of the Lord your God. |
| 1:30.0 | My ancestors were wandering arameans. |
| 1:34.0 | There were only a few of them when they went to Egypt and lived as foreigners. |
| 1:39.0 | But then they became a great, powerful and large nation. |
| 1:44.0 | So the Egyptians treated us cruelly, oppressed us and made us do back-breaking work for them. |
| 1:52.0 | We cried out to the Lord God of our ancestors and He heard us. |
| 1:57.0 | He saw our misery, suffering and oppression. |
| 2:02.0 | Then the Lord used His mighty hand and powerful arm to bring us out of Egypt. |
| 2:07.0 | He used spectacular and awe-inspiring deeds, miraculous signs and amazing things. |
| 2:15.0 | He brought us to this place and gave us this land flowing with milk and honey. |
| 2:20.0 | So now I've brought the first produce harvested from the fields you gave me, Lord. |
| 2:27.0 | You will place the basket in the presence of the Lord your God and bow down in front of Him. |
| 2:33.0 | Then you, the Levites and the foreigners who live among you, can enjoy all the good things which the Lord your God has given you and your family. |
