the board games guy, geek dad Paul Benson, long time listener,

let us know on December 15th that Asmodi had been sold by the French finance company

to the Embracer Group, a Swedish finance company.

And that was from retweeting a post by Duncan Malloy, who had gotten a hold of the PR

paperwork for that announcement.

And then, longtime listener Cliff Chergin sent out on a tweet the Reddit post that had all the details.

And as it turns out, the Embracer Group is most known for owning multiple video game production entities, cataloging many well-known

titles.

Goat Simulator, anyone?

So it is quite possible that they did this in order to make some game, board games,

out of their current catalog.

So it may affect board gaming in some way.
