| 0:00.0 | Hello, Lakers Nation. Welcome in. It's game day. I'm Trevor Lane for Lakersnation.com. |
| 0:06.7 | This is the Lakersnation.com podcast. We've got Lakers versus Clippers tonight. |
| 0:12.8 | I wish we could be fully 100% excited for this, but I have a feeling that most people |
| 0:18.0 | already kind of felt like, well, the Lakers are 2 and 0 on the season against the Clippers, probably not going to win three in a row against them. And then we got the news that LeBron James will not be in action for tonight's matchup against the Clippers. Currently, as I'm recording this, the Clippers are an eight and a half point favorite. They've been playing great basketball and the Lakers will be missing LeBron. I'm going to get into the injury report in a little more detail in just a moment. Before I do and before I dive into everything, because we got to talk trades. We got to talk about Darvindham and something that I think is kind of peculiar about him that maybe we're not talking about enough. We also need to get into the mailbag. So a lot that we need to get into on today's show. |
| 0:55.5 | Before I do all of that, though, you guys know what time of year it is, right? February 8th, the trade deadline is coming up. You know, I'm going to do everything I can to keep you as up to date as possible on everything going on in the Lakers world ahead of the trade deadline. So if you are a YouTube viewer, you're over on the YouTube channel, and you're not a subscriber yet, hit that subscribe button, turn on notifications. That's that way you get notified. I've never been put out a new video. Anything comes out. I'm going to be on top of it. I'm going to get out the news as well as the analysis of it as quickly as I can. I'm going to let you know what it means for the Lakers. |
| 1:28.7 | I like to say, I look at everything through purple and gold lenses. |
| 1:31.3 | A trade goes down across the NBA to Eastern Conference teams. |
| 1:34.6 | There could be a domino effect that impacts the Lakers. |
| 1:37.6 | That's the lens. |
| 1:38.4 | I'm going to look at everything through. |
| 1:40.0 | Same thing goes for podcast listeners. |
| 1:42.8 | If you're listening over the podcast side, you're not following us on Apple Podcasts, |
| 1:47.2 | Spotify, wherever you listen to podcasts, please make sure you do so. |
| 1:50.3 | And then don't forget Apple Podcast listeners, if you can give us that five-star rating and |
| 1:54.7 | review, I love going in there reading the reviews, and it's a great way to help out the show. |
| 1:59.4 | Okay, that stuff aside, let's, |
| 2:02.0 | let's just dive right into it. Let's just talk about some of the trade stuff that's going on |
| 2:06.0 | right now. So the Lakers, we know they're interested in DeJante Murray, but Shams Tarania |
| 2:11.4 | added a few other names and they're not names that we're hearing for the first time here, |
| 2:15.1 | but Dejante Murray, Terry Rozier, Bruce Brown, Tyos Jones. |
| 2:19.3 | These are all players that the Lakers are reportedly. |
| 2:21.7 | Again, according to Shoms Trania, taking a look at on the trade market. |
