Wednesday June 13, 2018. Thank you for downloading and I apologize for the tardiness, but my God, the Capitol's parade wore me out. Even though it was a really pleasant, beautiful picture perfect

76 degree day, early summer day, no humidity in the nation's capital. I mean

perfect. One last bit of puckluck, one last perfect bounce for this championship run by my

hockey team to have the kind of weather we had yesterday for a gathering that

was just phenomenal. I had never in my wildest dreams imagined that many fans

would come out to watch a hockey parade. I thought actually that if the caps were

to win a Stanley Cup that they should not hold the parade

down Constitution Avenue because there wouldn't be enough fans.

It would look small, it would look lame.

Not only do they come right down Constitution Avenue and it was packed on both sides, but the

rally on the mall in front of the stage was packed as pretty much as far as the eye can see.

Was the biggest rally ever on the mall? No, not even close.

Estimates were not provided either by the Park Service or by the Washington Post because

the only thing that estimating crowd sizes for rallies on the downtown mall do is just

generate people getting pissy with each other saying no it was bigger no it wasn't and
