My name's Tom Clarkson, and joining me this week is a Formula One team boss,

who, as you'll already have gathered from his introduction, is French.

He's also extremely articulate and in charge of one of the sports grandi teams.

I'm talking, of course, about Renault team principle, Cyril Habitable.

Cyril has been the man at the helm of Renault since they returned to F1 as a constructor in 2016,

but he's been a Renault employee for much longer.

Almost since his university days in Grenoble, in fact, cut him, and he'll probably bleed the Renault diamond.

He might only be 41 years old, but Cyril already has a heap of F1 experience.

He worked closely with Renault during his previous stint as a constructor in the Norties,

both in Endstone and at their engine base in Paris, and he was also team principle of Caterham F1.

Cyril has been tasked with rebuilding Renault's F1 operation,

and the team's fourth and fifth places at Monza a few weeks back were welcome boosts for drivers Daniel

Ricardo and Nico Holcombberg, as well as the teams at Endstone and in Paris.

Cyril and I caught up in Singapore last weekend to talk all things Renault, his views on their

current form, their much touted five-year plan, hiring Daniel Ricardo and Esteban Okon,
