On today's episode, I'm joined by Jacob Tipper, who is a high-performance coach working at the very top end of

endurance sports, including as a coach with the EF Education Easy Post World Tour cycling team.

Jacob has coached athletes like Ben Healy to Grand Tour stage wins and third place at the World

Championships in 2025 in the road race.

His coached Dan Bigam to the UCI Our Record and

Lucy Byram to finish in the top 10 in the T100 series in both 2024 and 2025. Jacob has a strong

background in cycling himself, taking a bit of an unconventional pathway and working his way

up to a high level of cycling from outside of the British cycling

system. And education-wise, he has studied sport science. Finally, Jacob has been on that traffron

show three times before, and I'll link to all of them in the episode description. We've

discussed a range of topics from his coaching philosophy to his involvement in the sub-7 project,

where he was the project lead

on Joe Skipper's Bike Team. So that's a bit of an intro and a background. Jacob, welcome
