Iowa Number One of Sahawk competition at Hilton Coliseum 77 to 70, number 15 Iowa, state over number 12 Iowa.

I just wanted to give a few thoughts on this for our podcast feed.

Iowa State wins its first. They've lost five in a row to Lisa Bluter and the Hawks.

I think I've been on the call of every single one of those.

And they've all been painful, equally painful.

I was at home watching tonight on the couch with my daughters and it was full of bliss.

What a fun game. First of all, before we get just into the cyclone aspect of this.

This game was just a joy.

I mean, this was just an awesome competition

between two teams that clearly don't like each other a lot of bad blood there I think

and that's great so rivalry it's what it's what it's supposed to be we're not here to make

friends right but man like to be. We're not here to make friends, right? But man, like you look at two of the five best

women's basketball players in the country and Ashley Jones and Caitlin Clark just put on a clinic tonight.

Ashley Jones leads Iowa State with 26, 9 of 28 from the field. She all set 11 rebounds and 6 assists played 40 minutes.

Incredible. And then on the other side, Caitlin Clark matches Ashley with 26 points, seven rebounds and three assists, although she did have six turnovers.

Great job tonight.
