Follow the science, and the science is settled. These have become iconic slogans in American politics. Way before there

was Dr. Fauci and the gender on a spectrum folks, these familiar phrases were almost always deployed

to warn about climate change. Today, we're going to talk about what we know for sure about our warming

planet and what we don't, so we can make policy decisions with a cool

head. Joining me is Danish author and president of the Copenhagen Consensus Center, former

director of the Danish government's Environmental Assessment Institute in Copenhagen, and the host of

First off, I just wanted to ask because your background isn't in climate science.

Your degree is actually in political science.

So how did you get into writing about environmental issues and where is your knowledge based on this

coming from? So look, Georgia, I simply take the starting point in what the climate scientist

are telling us. So that's the three incredibly large volumes that we get from the UN Climate Panel every

five or six years. So there's a lot of smart climate scientists telling us what's up and down

and what's real with climate science. But we also then have to make the decision, what should
