Summary

We should all probably watch a little less TV than we do, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be getting a deal in the process! The television bundle is the priciest way to watch and you should consider a free or streaming option because there are now so many choices. And you don’t have to sacrifice and give up a particular show or live sports if that’s your thing- there’s a really good chance you can find a video service, providing the content you’re looking for, that will be substantially more affordable than your local cable or satellite provider.

During this episode we enjoyed a Saison Du Ble by Side Project- a big thanks to our buddy David here in Atlanta for donating this beer to the show! And if you enjoyed this episode, be sure to subscribe and give us a quick review in Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts- we’d love to hear from you.

Best friends out!

televised entertainment. Quick question. Did you ever have cable as an adult having your own TV, your own household? Did you ever pay for cable?

2:22.0

I think one time when I lived with some guys early on, and we just had to watch baseball, and there weren't streaming alternatives that exist now where you could actually get sports.

2:32.0

Exactly. I don't even think streaming was a thing then, so that was probably 13-14 years ago.

2:36.0

Yeah, I was digging back my mind, and I don't think I've ever paid for cable, dude. Even in college, that is one thing that I'm pretty sure we skipped out on, because we were just cheap.

2:45.0

At least I was cheap, and I don't remember ever watching TV in college, at least. I remember I had some friends, and they had cable, because we would always go over to their place to watch the different shows that came on.

2:55.0

You know, the OC? Did you ever watch the OC? OC parties? That wasn't the cable show, though, right? That was, you could watch that, be your antenna.

3:03.0

Oh, really? Well, they didn't have antennas back then, did they? Yes, of course they had antennas back then. They were digital. I mean, we didn't have rabbit ears or whatever at the bunny ears, but...
