| 0:54.0 | What is Ken going to make noises with his mouth? Let's find out. |
| 0:59.0 | I like it. I'm sure there is some sort of EDM music that has gunk is the beat that drops, right? |
| 1:08.0 | Some gunkin. Let's get some gunkin in there. |
| 1:11.0 | Great little preview of what is one of the favorite comedy moments I assume. We'll get to that. |
| 1:17.0 | Anyway, I'm Joseph Scrimshaw. That is Ken Napsock, and welcome to the bad batch report. We are discussing episode two cut and run written by Gersimmarin Sandu, directed by Stuart Lee, director who has been with the Star Wars animation franchise for quite some time because that name pops up a lot when we're talking about clone wars episodes. |
| 1:35.0 | This is a 30 minute episode is compared to the 70 minute premiere that we discussed earlier this week. |
| 1:41.0 | Ken, let's get right into it. What was your overall reaction to cut and run? Did you love it? Like it? Struggle with it? Where do you land? |
| 1:48.0 | Oh, man, I really love this one. What I also loved is we've been doing this clone wars rewatching seven seasons, and you got a lot of arcs and one-off episodes, and we were doing the chronological rewatching, and it all works. |
| 2:01.0 | It all connects. It's all one story, but with this one, and I know we're only two episodes in, but you feel much like Mando, you feel you're watching a story that's really truly continuing week to week, and that's just that's been real fun with Mando, and it kind of felt fun in this episode. |
| 2:15.0 | Absolutely. It felt serialized of this is how they are moving along their whole big path, not just this is the adventure they have this week. |
| 2:23.0 | Yeah, yeah, and obviously Clone Wars works, and I don't feel lost or like it's disconnected. We showed a show week to week arc to arc, but this it just it was a fun feeling to kind of be like, ooh, because it adds some weight, some tension to every decision, which leads to wonderful speculation and crazy speculation times, but it's part of the fun, and I really felt that this week. |
| 2:41.0 | Yeah, absolutely. I really liked that perspective. I really enjoyed this episode and speaking to what you were saying, I like this episode because it felt absolutely necessary. |
| 2:50.0 | Like it was an entirely necessary question to address, like there's the practical stuff of what happens next, how do they get to their next place, what are they going to do, all that stuff. |
| 2:59.0 | But that to me wasn't as important as answering this essential question of why do these four violent soldiers travel a super dangerous galaxy with a child. |
| 3:10.0 | It's just like taking that issue that could be something that bubbles up again and again and putting it to bed up to a point, like I think obviously they're going to continue to refine those relationships and choose who they want to be. |
| 3:23.0 | But the fact that this episode raises those questions and then and so very definitively with Omega saying, I made a choice and I want to be with you, please do not try to pawn me off. |
