Hello America and welcome to a Monday edition of John Salomon reports.

Yes, we're tan rested, maybe wind burn from a beautiful spring weekend, at least here

on the east coast it was.

And now we got to get back to work.

Dig in our heels, break some news and try to give you guys the facts.

Today we have a really fun guess, I grew up in the shadows of New York City and Connecticut.

And as I was growing up and the New York crime prices of the late 1970s, early 1980s was

unfolding.

Curtis Sleeve was a person, everybody in New York knew he started the Guardian Angels.

He was faux and French in New York, police ultimately, a significant French in New York,

police.

But early on the police and the Democratic establishment in the city didn't know what

to make of him and his red cap angels.

But over time he helped bring attention to the issue of crime, particularly in the subways.

And now is launched a international movement.

The Guardian Angels are in so many cities, not only in America, but across the world.

I think they got five or six thousand members.

And after all that, after 30 years on radio as a popular talk show host, Curtis Sleeve

has decided to jump both feet into politics. He's running for mayor of New York City, the

primaries in June, the general elections in November.

It's a race worth watching.

And Curtis Sleeve has a lot of early momentum on the Republican side.
