Sid, here's what this poll in the mayor's race says to me.

The news that got the most attention was that Andrew Cuomo appears to be leading in the polling.

A couple of things about this.

One, he was leading with 32% in the polling. A couple of things about this.

One, he was leading with 32% of the vote.

He also, though, has the highest negatives out of any of the other Democrats in the field. Now, why is that important?

Because in a ranked choice voting election, the people that don't like Cuomo, which is almost

70% of those polled, they are not going to rank Cuomo, first, second, third, fourth, or fifth.

So even though Cuomo finished first in this poll, don't be fooled. This is not a good news poll for Cuomo because unless he's

over 50%, he might as well be zero. Because with ranked choice voting, if they're not for

Stringer, they're for Lander, if they're not for Lander, they're for Adams, if they're not for

Adams, if they're not for Adams, they're for Ramos, you get it. They're not going to be ranking Cuomo at all. So the fact

that his negatives are so high is something to be on the lookout for. Come on, man.

And with the local DBC News, and Uncle Jay with a triumphant comeback for us so long. But tonight, don't call it a comeback for us a little bit of come back
