League's baseball museum and someone who I call personally a friend, and that is former

All-Star, former New York Yankee, New York Met, and a player who had a magnificent career,

but also one of the great guys of baseball, Mr. Curtis Granderson.

Well, it is so good to catch up with you. And I can't thank you enough for utilizing your voice to read the Larry McPhail memorandum to Mayor LaGuardia as Mayor LaGuardia was really starting to push this agenda for the

integration of our game. So I guess my first question is, what was your reaction to the letter?

Were you aware of this letter before we sent it to you for this episode, or was that your first introduction to the letter?

That was my first introduction.

And when I looked at the letter, first thing popped out, I saw LaGuardia, and I'm thinking

of the airport.

And I go, wow, like, so now I have perspective of the timeframe of this letter.
