wee hours I'm sure. Well we hours eastern time I know that because he he

texted me late. But he was up early this morning, Craig Morgan from Phoenix Sports.

Joining Matt Marcasey here, Craig, did you get at least a little bit of sleep last night?

Probably about two and a half hours total, but that's right.

It's the job sometimes.

I get it.

And your job being in the market that you are in is obviously has a little bit more to it than in other places.

First question I asked Elliot this and he says he doesn't trust polls anymore,

but how surprised were you by the results of that vote because I went to bed seemingly thinking this was a slam dunk like I did not think that this was going to be the final the final nail in the coffin for the coyote seemingly?

Well everything final nail in the coffin for the coyote seemingly. Well, everything that I was hearing from the internal polling that had been done showed

them with as much as a 10-point lead.

They thought they were going to get 56, 57% support for this. But later in the day I checked in with a guy who's a bit of a local election analyst here understands polling very well.

His name's Garrett Archer.

And he told me when it comes to municipal polling,

like in a city the size of Penpy,

it is very tricky and very difficult

to get a good read on what the electorate is thinking and that certainly played out when the results popped up on the board at the 10thy wins what was supposed to be a party for the election because they thought they were going to get

56-57% support. Instead, that's what the opposition got. So it was completely flipped on their

expectations.
