Hey guys, I'm your host Tara A Devlin, and welcome to another episode of Kōabana, true Japanese scary stories from around the internet.

As you may know, I lived way out in the countryside when I lived in Japan.

I never really wanted to live in a big city, and I enjoyed it.

I'd never heard of the place before I got there, but it quickly became my home, and I still

think of it as such today.

But the countryside is rife with creepy stories, and for good reason.

In contrast to the much more well-populated cities, sometimes you can go seemingly hours

without seeing anyone if you're out far enough, and you're always surrounded by mountains,

rice fields, and rivers.

Who knows what could be lurking out there away from human eyes?

Our stories this week delve into some mysterious countryside law

and the monsters that are born there, real or otherwise.

Our first story for this week

but everyone, is told to stay away from.
