With that out of the way, let us proceed with the conclusion of Chapter 20, Lament of the Damned.

The dead surround you. Hundreds of Barovians, including friends and allies who've made over the past weeks, lay slain.

Their flesh is withered and singed from the necromanic Armageddon that has massacred them all.

The stench of death is almost overwhelming.

The blood in your veins becomes your own once again and you slowly regain full mobility.

However, calm has not yet returned as you see from the corners of the room Sardania's horsemen,

formerly Sergei's knights, have withered into their true forms.

Where once was a naturally preserved flesh is now nothing but smoking skeletons

animated by necromanic magic. The death knights atop their skeletal steeds descend from

their pedestals and turn their weapons to the floor. Their sword, scythe, flail, and lance glow

with a single pulse of magic, and you see four slaughtered corpses rise into the air and begin

to twist and thrash about in an undead mindlessness. There's a familiarity to these corpses.
