Years ago, as Curious Kid podcast was becoming more and more popular, and our download numbers were growing month after month, it came as a big surprise to me.

One of the biggest reasons that I was surprised about the success of the

podcast is that I don't like my own voice. When I listen back to my voice, which I have to do each

and every week when I'm editing these episodes, the sound of my voice kind of irritates me. I think

Olivia sounds great and Noah sounds great, but my voice, yuck. And I know

I'm not the only one. In researching for this episode, I discovered that lots of people don't

like the sound of their own voice. How about you? When you hear your own voice, especially played

back in a recording, do you like it or not so much?

Well, this week, we are going to learn about what it is that gives us our distinct voices.
