Hello and welcome back to the Curious Kid podcast. We hope everyone's year is off to a great start.

We have lots of exciting things planned for this year, and we are so happy you're joining us for this episode, which is our season 12 premiere.

This is going to sound ridiculous, but 2025 is the eighth calendar year of Curious Kid

podcast.

So we got this thing started in 2018, and we've been releasing new episodes weekly

ever since.

Do you know what a New Year's resolution is?

It's when you make a promise to yourself

to do something at the start of the year. Maybe you want to read more, or eat healthier, or save

money. It could be just about anything. Well, I remember back in 2018, saying that Olivia and I

should start an educational podcast for kids

because Olivia loves learning, but also loves teaching others.

To be honest, I thought maybe we would do 10 or 20 episodes,

learn a lot, and then shut it down.

Only 9.8% of podcasts make it to 50 episodes.

2.4% make it to episode 200. We have about 370 episodes and counting on our podcast feed. We really couldn't have done it without you. Thank you for joining us on this learning journey. Over the years, our animal episodes have tended to be the most popular episodes we release.

This week, we are getting curious about animals, but unlike our other animal episodes,

we're going to learn about a lot of different animals today.
