Hello, it's the Coppet show with Me, Garth Roberts and John Gibbons.

And joining us today is a name many will recognize, certainly around Liverpool on mercy side, Les Lawson.

Les, I mean for those that don't know you, as I say plenty will,

just tell us a little bit about who you are, how long you've been a red and how long you've been involved

with the Supporters Club, which is how a lot of people will know you.

Yeah, I'm Chairman of the Maisyssear Branch, the official Liverpool Supporters Club.

I've been on the committee since it started basically in 1993.

You know we're not going now as strong as what we were but we're trying to get it back up and running again as best we can.

With regards to me following Liverpool,

I've been a supporter all my life.

I can remember, my dad taking me to a reserve game and this will be going back and I remember it was Alec

Lindsay's debut for the reserve and he scored.

And then I have a feeling it was Swansea in the FA Cup which was my first game

than my dad took me too and it was just one a demo we're gonna go up and I'm gonna take

it up to the ground and let you see the players going in and then you know get into the ground and

next thing I knew was inside and from then on I think like everybody else who

goes to the first game you just you just

taken by the crowd and the noise and everything that goes on and from then I was

hooked and what you hear was that led to that that would have been probably be about 1969-70 somewhere around there.

I remember a little one I think for one and the likes of Ian St. John and Roger

Hunter playing and Tommy Lodden so it's going back it's going back then I mean and then back then I
